We all have an idea of what personal training looks like. But have we ever really questioned how much the trainers know for how complicated our bodies are? Samantha knows because she used to be one. What drove her to go to graduate school was the desire to understand the body thoroughly, from injury and joint mechanics to recovery and functional movement. She wanted a career where she could profoundly change people’s lives instead of guesswork it. Now she lives one of her greatest passions every day: training the clients who started on the table with an injury until they’re holding their grandkids pain free, walking without assistance, or crossing the finish line of their marathon.
